Commission sets budget workshop dates and flags June easement discussion

The Chair (S4) used the meeting to remind county departments that a budget workshop will be held on the 18th and 19th, beginning at 9 a.m. on the second floor in Room 208; the workshop is expected to run into Tuesday. The Chair also said the judge will be out for the June 26 meeting and that on June 8 the commission will discuss an easement agreement with Big Spring Sand related to power lines.
The Chair asked staff about outstanding tax-abatement matters and said the county would proceed with outside counsel when ready. Commissioners agreed to follow up as needed and to try to schedule student certificate presentations for those who missed the meeting.
