Commissioners authorize advertising for four new sheriff vehicles

Martin County Commissioner’s Court voted Feb. 24 to advertise bids for four new vehicles for the Martin County Sheriff’s Department, including two white police responder pickup 4x4 short beds with 3.5‑liter V6 EcoBoost engines and 10‑speed transmissions and light kits, one black 4x4 short bed police responder pickup with equipment, and one 4x4 SUV police responder with a 5.3‑liter V8 and red/blue flasher system. Commissioner Kenny Stewart moved the measure and Commissioner Auggie Ramos seconded; the vote was 3‑0 in favor.
