Commissioners approve 2026 contracts for child support enforcement services

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved multiple contracts on Jan. 5, 2026 to support the Child Support Enforcement Agency's (CSEA) Title IV-D operations for the 2026 contract year.
Per a request from Faye Williamson, Director of the Department of Job and Family Services, the board approved a contract with attorney Carole L. Pontious to serve as administrative hearing officer at $275 per hour, not to exceed $20,000, effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026 (non-federal share $6,800; federal matching funds $13,200). The board also approved a contract with the Fayette County Common Pleas Court—Magistrate to provide IV-D court services at $460.60 per hour (total $34,545.06; non-federal match $11,745.32; federal match $22,799.74) and a contract with the Fayette County Juvenile Court for clerk services on CSEA-initiated matters totaling $177,890.77 (non-federal match $60,482.86; federal match $117,407.91).
All three contracts were approved by unanimous roll call. The contracts specify the Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026 contract period and breakdowns of non-federal and federal matching shares were recorded in the minutes.
