Commission approves elected-official salary step adjustments consistent with wage study

Administrator Darren Myers outlined that per county policy and statute, elected officials must be moved by resolution to the next step in the pay scale; the change mirrors the automatic second-pay-period adjustments given to other staff. “This resolution is asking that all the elected officials in the county would move to that next step on the pay scale just like all the other employees have moved,” Myers said.
Commissioner (speaker_2) moved to adopt Resolution 2026-004 setting salary step adjustments for elected officials; the motion was seconded and the commission approved the resolution 3-0. Commissioners noted the change was part of the wage study and intended to preserve parity between elected officials and county employees.
