The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners set bid opening dates for a slate of 2026 road and bridge projects during its Jan. 13 meeting. At the County Engineer’s recommendation, the board set dates including Feb. 5, 2026 (crack seal and fog seal materials), Feb. 12, 2026 (asphalt concrete resurfacing — East and West End), Feb. 26, 2026 (Elmore Eastern Road CR #6 and Fostoria Road CR #2 bridge rehabilitation over Crane Creek), and March 12, 2026 (Bituminous Surface Treatment and 2026 Chip Seal of various township roads). Motions to set the dates were moved by Commissioner Donald A. Douglas and seconded by Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler; all passed by roll-call votes.
