The Jewell County Commissioners reviewed two written quotes to replace aluminum thresholds on the courthouse’s front doors and voted to accept Saathoff Construction’s $1,400 bid. Jackson Glass had submitted a competing quote of $1,793.30; the record shows the commissioners selected the lower bid. Brent Beck moved to accept Saathoff Construction’s quote and Ervin Underwood seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
