Atkinson County adopts county-specific procurement policy
The board approved a county-specific procurement policy, replacing sole reliance on the ACCG model. The policy was reviewed by Mark Dill and Tillman Governmental Consulting and is on file at the commissioners’ office.

The Atkinson County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt a county-specific procurement policy during its April 10 meeting. Chairman Parker Liles said the county had been using the ACCG procurement policy but was advised to establish its own policy; Vice‑Chair Tom Morris moved to approve the new policy and Commissioner Gloria Farrell seconded. The motion carried and the policy was filed in the commissioners’ office.
