Commission authorizes SDDOT JPA acknowledgment; approves bridge work to proceed
County commissioners authorized the chairman to sign an SDDOT Joint Powers Acknowledgment for a highway project involving a large box culvert and voted to proceed with work on bridge #44-010-185 despite a minor girder sweep issue described as cosmetic by engineers and the contractor.

Scott Nelson, Right-of-Way Specialist for the South Dakota Department of Transportation, presented a Joint Powers Agreement for a highway project from Exit 350 (SD25) to four miles west of Exit 364 and explained the county acknowledgment required for placement of a large box culvert. The Commission approved a motion authorizing Chairman Charles Liesinger to sign the Acknowledgment.
