Elk County emergency management: siren test passed, regional tabletop exercise planned
Emergency Management reported the outdoor siren test passed on June 2, 2025; a Regional tabletop exercise is scheduled for July 9, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the SEK Impact Center in Chanute, and 11 of 18 shelter agreement updates have been returned.

Erica Cordell, Elk County Emergency Management, told the board the outdoor siren test on June 2, 2025 passed and that she attended the Homeland Security Council meeting in Chanute on May 20 and the KEMA meeting in Chautauqua County on June 5. Cordell encouraged signups for a Regional tabletop exercise planned for July 9, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the SEK Impact Center in Chanute.
