Nancy Borthwick, director of the Senior Center, asked the commissioners to add a line item to the department budget for miscellaneous kitchen equipment not covered by Eldercare and raised safety and accessibility concerns about the bathroom doors, which "currently open inward and are very heavy" and have handles that are not ADA‑compliant.
