During the manager's briefing, Laday reviewed recent JPA activity in Saint Charles Parish. He said P20260326 (Modern American Recycling Services Inc.) was withdrawn by the applicant after the committee had requested additional cross sections. "Since then, we've spoken to the applicant, and they have decided to withdraw their application," Laday reported.
Laday also described two local unauthorized-fill cases: P20260502 (Baron Treagle) and P20260514 (William Sigmon). In both cases, code enforcement cited the sites, applicants submitted JPAs and completed cleanup; because the lots are located in 'fast lands' the applications later received exemptions. On state-concern JPAs, Laday said P20260500 (Archer Daniels / ADM existing barge access) received an NDSI determination from state reviewers.
The committee had no public speakers on the open JPA (P20260519) and no further direction was taken at this meeting.
