Committee sets follow-up, asks staff to pursue CDC help for St. Mary Water System
The Health, Water Sanitation & Sewer District Committee asked staff to contact the CDC about funding options for the St. Mary system, requested members submit questions within a week, and scheduled a Feb. 18, 2026 follow-up to decide whether to recommend acceptance of the donation.

At the end of the discussion, Chairman Philip Rodgers asked for a consensus on next steps and the committee agreed that parish staff should assist the St. Mary Water System Board in pursuing available funding through The Coordinating & Development Company. Dr. Ken Ward said he would contact CDC representative Jack Skaggs and that he is not in favor of a temporary management agreement unless funding options are exhausted.
