The Monroe County Board of Commissioners read a resolution honoring Paul Simonton for 19 years of service to the Commission on Aging, noting his ‘‘unwavering dedication, integrity, and leadership’’ on issues affecting residents 60 and older. Commissioner Lamour read the resolution and presented a plaque on behalf of the board to a family representative.
