Board certifies closed session (with disclosure exception) and confirms multiple appointments
After closed session the Board disclosed a non-exempt matter presented inadvertently, certified the closed session with that exception, and approved appointments to multiple authorities and boards including the Economic Development Authority and Planning Commission.

The Board convened a closed session under Virginia Code for personnel matters, board and commission appointments, and legal consultation. On reconvening the Board disclosed that the commissioner of revenue had mistakenly presented an issue in closed meeting that was not exempt from open-meeting requirements; the board stopped discussion of that specific matter, noted the disclosure on the public record and then certified the remainder of the closed session.
