The Commissioners Court approved a proclamation recognizing the week of July 2026 as Summer Learning Week and heard from a coalition of Raising Travis County-funded organizations about summer programming for youth.
"We're a coalition of more than 40 Central Texas organizations," said Marissa Zuppon of the Learn All the Time Network, which the Andy Roddick Foundation anchors, thanking the court for recognizing National Summer Learning Week and describing partnerships that support youth programming. Representatives from Shield Ranch Foundation, Austin Youth River Watch, Buena Maritano, Austin Sunshine Camps, Urban Roots and others described programs that include nature immersion camps, watershed education, stipends for youth participants, and new opportunities like spring-break camps.
External auditor Jeremy Myers later noted that the Raising Travis County fund is now displayed as a separate column in the county's audited financial statements so the public can see how those voter-approved funds are used. The court recessed briefly for a photo and then took up other business.
