Planning staff told the commission the county's comprehensive plan outreach has yielded over 200 survey responses to date, and staff will present a map exercise at the upcoming joint work session with the Board of Supervisors to show the existing growth area and how well zoning aligns with the plan's objectives.
Staff said the map exercise will help commissioners and supervisors see how much of the growth area is available and whether zoning and budget decisions align with the plan's goals. "We've had over 200 responses so far," the planning staff said, noting a word-cloud comparison to the 2009 plan will also be provided to help frame public input.
