Zoning Director Rothe presented amended bylaws for the Harvey County Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals at the March 4 meeting, saying some provisions were outdated and that state statutes were incorporated to ensure compliance.
Commissioner Tessa Wendling moved to adopt the updated bylaws; Martie TenEyck seconded the motion and the board approved the amendments unanimously. Rothe said most general bylaws remain the same but the changes add provisions specific to the Board of Zoning Appeals and reference applicable state statutes.
The board took no public comment on the bylaw changes. The adopted amendments will be incorporated into the county’s governing procedures for both bodies.
