Harvey County panel adopts Article 2 of Unified Development Code
Summary

The Harvey County Planning & Zoning Advisory Board held a public hearing March 4 on Article 2 (Administrative Bodies) of the county’s Unified Development Code. Zoning Director Rothe told the board that only minor corrections had been made and no members of the public offered comments.
After the hearing, Commissioner Joni Embree‑Meinders moved to recommend adoption of Article 2; Tessa Wendling seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously. Rothe said the changes principally align administrative procedures with current county practice and correct minor drafting issues, and no substantive policy changes were reported at the meeting.
The adoption is recorded as a recommendation for the unified code update; Rothe noted the edits include technical corrections and did not prompt further amendments by the board. The board will implement the updated administrative provisions as part of the county’s Unified Development Code.
