Parent urges board to treat ROV program as essential pathway

"That kind of excellence on a consistent basis doesn't just happen by accident," she said, citing mentors and program structure. She asked the board to provide ongoing support similar to athletics rather than treating ROV as an extracurricular afterthought.
The comment was received during the public-comment portion of the meeting and elicited thank-yous from the chair; the board did not take separate funding action at the meeting. Larson requested recognition of the program’s role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
