Looking Glass reports attendance gains and early math intervention progress

The presenter reported pre-K average daily attendance of 91% and said the school's goal was roughly 93% across classrooms. To support attendance, staff use classroom rewards, earlier attendance letters after five missed days, daily personal phone-call outreach for absences and social-media outreach to families. "We sent home a, hey, you've missed 5 days at school. That's a lot. How can we partner with you to get you here?" the presenter explained.
On academics, Looking Glass introduced a new math intervention called Kickstart and reported, for the first time, students are exiting math intervention into grade-level work. The presenter said the school is also using I-Ready and DIBELS data, continuing instructional-assistant training, and aligning curriculum and PLC work to sustain growth.
School leaders emphasized that much data is still incoming and that they will present detailed assessment results later in forthcoming reports.
