Board approves multiple certified administrators; two votes include an abstention

The Okmulgee Board of Education voted on March 11, 2025 to approve lists of certified administrators for the 2025–2026 school year. In the first grouped vote the board approved the employment of Dawn Wallace, Amanda Thomas and Scott Bein; the motion passed with Aye votes from Leroy Parker, Mike James and Krystal Bohannon and an abstention from Vickie Jones. A second grouped vote approving Dianna Humphrey, David Dunlap and Steven Lobaugh recorded the same tally (three Ayes and one abstention).
A separate vote to approve Joanna Lobaugh passed with unanimous Aye votes. The votes followed return from executive session and were recorded on the public minutes. The transcript shows board motions moved by Mike James and seconded as noted in the minutes.
