Maupin Council accepts Rhoades resignation, appoints Randy Bechtol and Kathy Peck
The City Council accepted Councilor Rhoades' resignation, declared a vacancy and unanimously appointed Randy Bechtol (term to 12/2026) and Kathy Peck (term to 12/2028); Bechtol was sworn in immediately and Peck's oath will occur before the next meeting.

The Maupin City Council on July 23 accepted the resignation of Councilor Rhoades and declared a vacant seat before moving to fill it by appointment. Councilor Shelby Dumire moved to appoint Randy Bechtol to the seat with a term expiring December 2026; Councilor Mike Foreaker seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 5-0. Recorder Christine Wolfe administered the oath of office to Bechtol and he was seated at the council table.
