Council adopts first 2026 budget amendment, adds $35,000 for digital reader boards

Finance Director Kristen Reed presented Ordinance 2841, the first budget amendment for fiscal year 2026, and explained small changes made between first and second readings. She said the amendment adds $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards paid from the street fund and noted that the amendment would bring the Facilities Fund (Fund 35) reserve balance below the city’s formal reserve policy for that fund.
