Board demos Treeplotter mapping tool; state license and volunteer opportunities noted

The board previewed Treeplotter, a mapping tool used for the Creekside inventory; presenter said the state paid for access for Oregon cities for three years and board members discussed giving view access to volunteers, schools, and homeowners.

Avery demonstrated Treeplotter and walked the board through layers that show species, DBH, health ranking and photos; the presenter said the state provided a City‑level license. “This is called Treeplotter, and it's a program that the state of Oregon paid for all the cities in Oregon to be able to utilize for the next 3 years,” Avery said, noting the tool's filters make it easy to highlight monitoring and maintenance priorities.
