Board members unanimously approved a technical clarification to the local eligible training-provider application on July 28.
Staff explained the change: the state approves providers for the Missouri system, but local eligible training-provider status for the Saint Louis agency requires an additional local application and board approval. "On the application, the application did not reflect board approval. It almost made it seem like it was automatic," a staff member said; the policy was revised so the application and policy language match.
A member moved to approve the small change and the board took a voice vote; the chair declared the motion carried. Staff told a public questioner that providers whose city contracts expired on June 30 must re-enter the city's Oracle contracting process and execute required exhibits—tax clearances, attestations and e-verify—before being advanced to the board for approval.
