County administrator Darren Myers explained that, per county policy and the recent wage study, elected officials are moved to the next step on the pay scale at the second pay period of the calendar year. He said the change for elected officials must be approved by resolution and that the adjustment aligns elected officials with other employees who received step increases.
Commissioners moved to adopt Resolution 2026-04 setting salary step adjustments for elected officials; the motion was seconded and approved 3–0. The administrator said the changes would appear on the next paycheck per the county payroll cycle.
