Superintendent reports on facilities projects and summer-school progress
Summary
Superintendent Halverson updated the board on multiple facilities projects — HS basement, carpeting, roof, armory and auxiliary gym floor refinish (auxiliary gym July 30–Aug 9), track lining, and window film — and reported summer-school credit recovery completed 20 semesters; SRO Chris Aid noted to start Aug. 11.
Superintendent Halverson provided the board with a facilities and operations update at the July 14 meeting. Items reported included ongoing work on the high school basement project, planned carpeting and roof projects, completion of Armory floor refinishing, and scheduling for an auxiliary gym refinish July 30–August 9. The district also scheduled track lining and ordered window film for campus buildings.
Halverson reported that summer-school credit recovery had completed 20 semesters and provided reminders about upcoming activities: the Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps event (July 23), the ASBSD conference (Aug. 7–8), and an in-service schedule nearly complete and ready for mail distribution. The superintendent also confirmed that SRO Chris Aid is slated to start on Aug. 11.
