Engineering report: Phase IV progress, Phase V on hold, Route 20 permitting under way

Engineer Ryan Holcomb briefed the council on multiple engineering matters. He said the Phase IV sewer project held its first construction progress meeting and that the team is working to add three customers near Sandy’s Hardware pending environmental clearance and DEP approval. Holcomb reported Phase V of the sewer project is on hold.
On the Route 20 corridor, Holcomb said the project team is working through a DEP permit modification and will seek authorization to advertise for bids after permit work is complete. For AML Phase I, closeout work is underway and Change Order #3 (additional paving and screen) is forthcoming; one or two pay applications remain. Holcomb also reported a Phase II AMD NEPA environmental assessment has been drafted and is being submitted.
These engineering updates were presented as informational; specific contract amounts beyond the Sanitary Board requisition referenced in the treasurer’s report were not presented to the council for separate approval at this meeting.
