The Planning Commission recommended approval of the Dawson Trails plan development amendment No. 3 after staff and the applicant presented the proposed zoning and plan changes. Stacy Weeks of Norris Design told commissioners the amendment consolidates developer parcels into Planning Area E2, realigns OSP-8 (a private-park/open-space boundary), and programs four one‑acre private parks in future residential planning areas as part of the amendment.
Staff said the PD amendment meets the town's comprehensive plan objectives and municipal code PD amendment criteria and asked the commission to recommend approval to Town Council. "Based on the review from the town and the application, we meet the PD plan review and approval criteria," the applicant's consultant said. The commission voted to recommend approval; the roll-call tally recorded the motion as passing 6-0, with the earlier recusal noted.
