Chair told the board there are several proposed salary changes and proposed a brief work session with department heads before acting because salaries were set July 1. Board members discussed availability and agreed to coordinate dates by email; options discussed included Monday, Aug. 3 and Aug. 10. One supervisor noted they would be out of town, and staff agreed to coordinate with the county attorney to finalize a date.
"We have several salary changes on here... I think we're wanting to do a work session on those where we can talk with the department heads before we make a move on any of those because we just set salaries July 1," the Chair said. The board asked staff and supervisors to coordinate and provide a few possible dates via email.
Separately, the board approved payroll for a new motor-vehicle hire after members moved and seconded the motion; the approval was made by voice vote and no dollar amount or personnel name was included in the transcript.
