Board highlights long-running maintenance and accessibility problems at Seneca library

Director Blair (speaker 6) and others noted the ramp is narrow and in poor condition; Blair said the ramp-replacement request was nearly four years old and that county contractors had been slower to respond because of staff shortages. The committee reported meeting with county council officials (including council chairman Matthew Durham and county administrator Stuart Jones) and said it will attend the August 4 county council meeting to seek status updates.
Board members emphasized that Seneca is one of the system's busiest branches despite having small meeting space and ongoing roof leaks and interior issues. Trustees asked staff to continue following up with county facilities and to return with concrete timelines for repairs.
