Alex Saywers summarized elementary and junior-high activities for the board Nov. 25, including K–5 award assemblies, a Red Carpet Fashion Show, a junior-high costume contest and the Quarter 1 JH awards recognizing character and academic achievement.
Saywers noted a Nov. 6 lockdown drill and a Nov. 10 Veterans Day assembly with guest speaker Dan Menke and a Quilts of Valor ceremony honoring local veterans. He thanked Mr. Fletcher and Mr. Terry for event planning and musical leadership. Saywers announced the K–5 music concert set for Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lancer Gym and a junior-high ASB field trip to Eagles Ice Arena on Dec. 5.
Staff also continued professional development, including a book study on The Energy Bus and learning walks with sixth-grade and PE teachers that led to classroom reflections.
