Selectboard approves multiple facility‑use requests for spring and summer events

At its Feb. 9 meeting the Selectboard approved several facility uses for Story Memorial Hall and related town facilities. Town Administrator Matt Frederick presented a request from the Mary L. Blood Memorial Library for a free PG‑13 movie night on March 14 (doors 5:30 p.m., Showtime 6:00 p.m.), which the board approved. Jill Delaney’s English Country Dance series received approval for dates in February, March and April, and the Central Vermont Dressage Association was granted a Stable Core Training class on April 25.
Shelley Seward presented a request for Weston Young Company to use the auditorium on June 21 for a production sponsored by local organizations; the board approved the request with insurance to be supplied in advance. The Selectboard also approved the West Windsor Music Festival’s use of the auditorium for concerts June 26–28, noting piano delivery June 22 to acclimate for tuning and that organizers would pay a $25 per‑day rental fee ($75 total). Selectboard member Mark Harley noted the piano would be delivered early "to allow time for it to acclimate to room temperature prior to tuning." The board asked festival organizers to coordinate on food‑truck logistics prior to final approval for trucks.
