Board hears concerns about Broadway Place Annex maintenance and considers Minimum Maintenance Code

Jones County Public Health Director Brad Knudson updated the board on outstanding maintenance requests at the Broadway Place Annex and said he will continue discussions with appropriate parties. He reported having contacted administrators in Anamosa and Monticello about pursuing a Minimum Maintenance Code; the board is awaiting replies from those cities.
Brad also provided a brief update on sharps disposal: the Public Health office stocks travel and regular-size sharps containers for public use, and sanitation companies told staff that sharps may be disposed of in household garbage if placed in a hard, sealed container labeled "sharps." The board did not take formal action on the maintenance requests or on a Minimum Maintenance Code during the meeting.
