County to end Stevens County emergency management contract at year-end

The Personnel Committee met with Emergency Management Director Dona Greiner and recommended discontinuing the contract with Stevens County for Emergency Management services because of funding concerns and questions about the director’s availability during emergencies. The board voted unanimously to end the contract effective Dec. 31, 2025.
