Cody council adopts National Electrical Code update to city code
The City of Cody council adopted Ordinance 2026-07 (Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 1C) to align local code with the current National Electrical Code; staff reported no new input and the motion passed unanimously after a second reading.

At a second reading, the City of Cody council approved Ordinance 2026-07 to amend Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 1C of the city code and adopt the National Electrical Code. Staff member Eton told the council, "As of today, we have no new input, no new information," and recommended adoption to bring the city's code book up to current standards.
