Planning commission approves WinCo project, grants requested sign variance
The Woodburn Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve WinCo Foods’ land-use package with conditions, including granting an enlarged wall-sign variance and requiring ODOT approval for signal changes before occupancy.

The Woodburn Planning Commission on April 23 approved a WinCo Foods land-use package that includes site-plan approvals, a street adjustment and three variances, and it expressly granted the applicant’s request for larger wall signage. Chair Lisa Ellsworth said the commission had reviewed the record from the prior hearing and moved into deliberations before a motion to approve was offered and seconded.
