Renee Watson (speaker 51) presented an updated administrative policy (referred to in the meeting as SLOVBE / SLOBEB in shorthand) to center small, local and veteran-owned businesses in county procurement. The policy creates mandatory supplier registration, a validated directory for local and veteran designations, and vendor-rotation procedures to give priority consideration to qualifying businesses on informal and cooperative purchases.
