Study recommends Buttercup Creek corridor as primary shared-use path; Park Street cost roughly double
A feasibility study comparing Buttercup Creek Boulevard and Park Street found Buttercup Creek has fewer conflicts, more right-of-way and lower construction cost (about half of Park Street); staff will return with a mobility-plan amendment to redesignate Buttercup Creek as the primary trail and to design the recommended segment.

Randy Leader, director of engineering capital projects, summarized a feasibility study comparing two corridors for a primary shared-use path. The study identified constraints (utility conflicts, drainage, limited right-of-way on Park Street) and opportunities (Buttercup Creek provides more park connectivity, more daytime bike/ped activity and fewer design constraints), and estimated Buttercup’s construction cost at about half that of Park Street.
