Calvert County Board adopts $355.4 million FY27 budget, keeps class-size and staffing commitments

The Calvert County Board of Education approved the district's fiscal year 2027 budget on a 5–0 vote, adopting a $355,400,000 plan across all funds. Finance staff told the board the unrestricted operating budget totals $298,325,000, with restricted funds of $27,900,000, a food service fund of $7,600,000, and a school construction budget of $21,600,000. "The unrestricted budget for fiscal year '27 is 298,325,000," the finance presenter said while outlining the district's priorities.
