Kim Williams, Harris County’s purchasing agent, addressed Commissioners Court on March 31 to accept a resolution recognizing National Procurement Month and to highlight the county purchasing team’s work supporting more than 40 county departments and Harris Health System.
Williams thanked the court for the recognition and asked the purchasing team to stand, noting the group’s principles of fairness, integrity, responsiveness and stewardship. The presiding official and several commissioners thanked the team and posed for a photograph before the court recessed briefly and returned to the resolutions agenda.
The recognition was presented as part of the routine resolutions block; no vote beyond adopting the resolutions package was required.
