The board approved a $500 donation to the local Graduation Spectacular event after committee representative Kara Thane said last year’s event served over 600 students and this year will be held at the event center.

The commission authorized a $500 donation to the 2026 Graduation Spectacular after a presentation by Kara Thane, who represents the grad-spec committee. Thane thanked the board for prior support, explained volunteers organize the event and said the committee expects strong attendance: "We had over 600 students last year," she told commissioners.
