HCA CIO reports steady progress on Benefits24/7 sync-file and API work; migration to wa.gov planned

CIO Travis Cherry said the team has resolved 19 sync-file deficiencies, is separating enrollment and accounting sync files, has begun API development for endpoints (new employees, special open enrollment), and is planning migration from SAW to wa.gov, targeting spring 2027 milestones for broader workstreams.

Travis Cherry, the Health Care Authority's chief information officer, briefed the board on Benefits24/7 modernization. He said the team has "identified and resolved 10 additional bugs" since the previous meeting, bringing the cumulative total to 19 resolved sync-file deficiencies, and outlined next steps: separate sync files for enrollment and accounting and continued API development for enrollment endpoints.
