The Floyd County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution #02-26 on Jan. 2, 2026 (under Iowa Code §331.903.1) establishing the number and appointments of deputies, assistants, and clerks for elected officials’ offices effective Jan. 2, 2026. The resolution sets staffing levels by office; examples in the minutes include: Auditor—1 assistant, 2 full-time clerks, 1 part-time clerk; Attorney—1 part-time assistant attorney, 2 full-time clerks, 1 part-time clerk; Treasurer—4 full-time clerks, 1 part-time clerk; Sheriff—11 deputies, 2 clerks, 1 jail administrator, 8 jail staff; Recorder—1 full-time clerk, 1 part-time clerk. The roll call vote was recorded as Ayes: Carr, Rottinghaus, Campbell, and the motion carried 3-0.
