At their Jan. 5 meeting the Board of Comanche County Commissioners elected Johnny Owens chair and Ryan John vice-chair, held an executive session to discuss potential litigation against WasteSolutions, LLC for alleged road damage in District 3, and took no action following the closed session.

The Board of Comanche County Commissioners met Jan. 5, 2026, and voted to change its leadership: Commissioner Josh Powers moved to elect Commissioner Johnny Owens as chairman and Commissioner Ryan John as vice chairman; the motion passed with Powers, Owens and John voting aye.
