At its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting the Cass County Planning Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of a reclassification request submitted by Lamont Peterson to convert 150.68 acres from Agricultural Forestry to Rural Residential 20. Staff reported 27 mailed notices and no public comments; the commission’s written findings cited consistency with natural area preservation, topography, soils, and adjacent land uses.
