Nobles County commissioners approved Conditional Use Permit #013-2024 for Verlis Schilling of Adrian to construct a 102-foot by 192-foot total confinement hog barn designed to house 2,400 head of swine, equivalent to 720 animal units. The permit was reviewed under the county zoning ordinance section for feedlot expansions; the board voted to approve the conditioned use permit.
