The Page County Board of Supervisors approved a corrected ordinance Jan. 5 to amend a portion of Chapter 125 (Zoning) to reflect the Board’s prior intent. The previously submitted ordinance had retained outdated language—specifically the terms "banquet facility" and "event facility"—contrary to the Board’s vote on Sept. 15, 2025, which deleted those terms and replaced them with the single term "event venue." County Attorney Michael Helm confirmed the correction was a clerical misprint in the submitted ordinance and did not require another public hearing.
Supervisor Jeff Vaughan moved to approve the corrected ordinance; Supervisor Ryan Cubbage seconded and the motion carried by a vote of 5‑0. The corrected ordinance amends §125‑12(C‑1), Part B, Subpart 5 to list "event venue" in the enumeration of places serving food and beverages covered by the commercial district.
