Select Board accepts Elevation bid to replace library roof

The Town of Winhall Select Board voted May 20 to accept a $17,725 bid from Elevation for the library roof replacement, after removing one $27,000 bid from consideration and reviewing a $15,900 bid from Total Roofing Service. Scott Bushee presented the bids and noted that Total Roofing appears to serve local customers.
Christie Boswell, who researched the submissions, said Elevation submitted what she called the "most complete bid," and moved that the board accept Elevation's proposal. The motion, seconded by Stacy Eddy‑Gordon, passed unanimously. The board also discussed trimming trees around the library before roof work begins and said additional site coordination with contractors is pending.
