The Angelina County Commissioners Court unanimously approved Resolution #010-26 during its July 14, 2026 meeting. Commissioner Kermit Kennedy moved for adoption of the resolution "supporting the limited regulatory authority of counties in rural areas on emerging technologies including Data Centers and Battery Storage Facilities;" Commissioner Tim Sprinkle seconded and the motion carried.
